Electrolit Expands to the U.S. with $400M Manufacturing Facility in Waco, TX

Waco, TX (November 12, 2024) – Electrolit, the premium hydration beverage crafted with pharmaceutical-grade ingredients, has announced its first U.S. manufacturing facility with a $400 million state-of-the-art project in Waco, Texas. Set to open in early 2026, the 600,000-square-foot greenfield facility will be a build-to-suit production hub, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion.
Strategic Expansion to Meet Growing Demand
Since entering the U.S. market a decade ago, Electrolit has grown into a flagship product within the health and wellness industry. The increasing demand across North America has led to this strategic decision to establish operations in Waco. With Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. as a distribution partner and a rapidly expanding retail network, Electrolit is poised to strengthen its presence across the region.
“We’re excited to announce our new U.S. manufacturing facility, marking a major milestone in our growth and commitment to quality. We are immensely grateful to all our U.S. consumers for their continued preference and support,” said the Electrolit Team. “As we move forward, we remain dedicated to providing the best hydration solutions in the market and are confident that the years ahead will bring even greater innovations and improvements.”
Investment in Waco’s Economy and Workforce
Electrolit’s expansion is the result of close collaboration with the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce, enabling the company to secure land in Texas Central Park, Waco’s largest industrial park. This location not only provides logistical advantages but also represents a major investment in the local community, bringing over 200 skilled jobs to the region.
The decision to establish this facility in Waco was backed by a regional economic development partnership involving the City of Waco, McLennan County, the Waco Industrial Foundation, and the Greater Waco Chamber. Leaders from these entities expressed their enthusiasm for the project:
“Attracting a business like Electrolit meets our economic development objectives by bringing in a quality business, a great management team, a significant financial commitment, and good jobs that help provide financial security to our Waco residents,” said City of Waco Mayor Jim Holmes. “We look forward to this business being a part of all the great things happening in Waco.”
“This announcement substantiates our success in creating an inviting environment where a skilled workforce, strategic location, and a supportive community culture make McLennan County a competitive choice for companies like Electrolit,” said McLennan County Judge Scott Felton. “We are thrilled to welcome Electrolit to our region.”
Commitment to Sustainability and Innovation
Electrolit’s Waco facility will integrate sustainable manufacturing practices, including the use of recycled and non-virgin packaging materials when available. Additionally, the facility will leverage rail infrastructure to distribute finished products, reducing carbon emissions and allowing for future expansion. The development will be led by Stellar, a premier EPC firm known for its award-winning food plant designs.
“Stellar and Electrolit share a commitment to innovation and sustainable design, which will drive the creation of this facility,” said Brian Kappele, CEO of Stellar. “This project exemplifies Stellar’s dedication to excellence and delivering top-tier solutions while prioritizing environmental responsibility.”
